The Muddy Cup is the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee before work or after dropping the kids off at school, to sip tea and chat with friends, or to indulge in an after dinner ice cream with the family during the hot summer months.  Since 2008, the Muddy Cup has provided Bellevue with a wide range of coffees, teas, frozen iced drinks, steamers, hot chocolate, and other beverages and snacks. Coffee drinks include lattes, frappes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, and more, all made with coffee from Prestogeorge in the Strip.  Health-related protein and energy drinks were added to the menu in 2016.

            A big draw is the Hershey’s handmade real ice cream.  It can be purchased alone or in drinks such as an ice cream pour-over with expresso or an expresso milkshake.  When customers begged for a later closing time so they could enjoy an after dinner walk for ice cream, the normal week-day closing time of 5:30 was extended to 7:00 p.m. for the summer months.

            If you’d rather not walk, a small parking lot in front of the shop, a luxury in Bellevue, allows easy access by car.

            Owner Renee Tokar grew up in Brighton Heights and spent a lot of time in Bellevue. As an adult, she worked as a trainer for Starbucks, travelling to open new stores along the East Coast.  She was always on the road or in the air and longed to work close to home.  She now has a short commute from Brighton Heights to Bellevue.  This allows her to spend more time at home where she is raising a large family.  She has two biological children who are now adults, and six adopted children, ranging from age 4 to 17.  You may see some of her children working at the shop from time to time.

            Renee strongly believes that the success of the Muddy Cup is based on quality and consistency.  She fosters a family-like environment along with her two employees, Katrina and Caren. Renee and her staff are welcoming and would love for you to stop by and see them.
